Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 March 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) Promo Game UK uses, and the choices you have. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file a website asks your browser to remember. Local storage works the same way but stays on your device only and is never automatically sent back to a server with each request.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
pguk_cookie_consent— remembers your cookie choice so we don't pester you again. Lifetime: 12 months.pguk_player_stats— local storage; remembers your in-game progress, achievements and credit balance. Lifetime: until you clear it.pguk_player_name— local storage; your chosen leaderboard handle. Lifetime: until you clear it.
These are required for the Service to work and cannot be turned off.
Analytics (optional)
- Anonymous, aggregated page-view and device-type data, only ever loaded if you choose "Accept All" in the cookie banner. We do not use cross-site tracking, advertising cookies or fingerprinting.
3. What we don't use
No third-party advertising cookies. No social-media tracking pixels. No behavioural retargeting. No data sold to brokers.
4. Managing your choice
Click "Essential Only" in the banner to decline analytics. You can change your mind any time by clearing the pguk_cookie_consent entry from your browser storage — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will reset your in-game progress because progress is stored using the same technology.
5. Browser-level controls
6. Updates
We'll update this list whenever we add or remove a cookie. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
